(Oklahoma City) Dec. 4, 2008 – Sustainable OKC (SOKC) has a unique gift idea that will make the most of the giving season today while funding smart, innovative solutions for the future. Make your holiday shopping a breeze by visiting www.sustainableokc.org and clicking on the “Get Involved” tab. There you’ll find an easy and safe way to donate to this vibrant non-profit at any monetary level via PayPal.

Then sit back and bask in that warm and fuzzy feeling knowing you’ve helped Sustainable OKC organize and promote projects and events that will make a difference in the Oklahoma City community for years to come. Sustainable OKC is a local chapter of the Oklahoma Sustainability Network, a 501(c)(3) organization, making the donation tax deductable.

The Web site also has a holiday card you can download and print from your computer if you choose to donate in someone’s name. This is truly a gift that keeps on giving by funding local sustainability projects and networking events that build smart, innovative solutions at the grass-roots level.

Sustainable OKC is completely run by volunteers so your money will go directly toward funding projects that benefit sustainability issues and awareness in the Oklahoma City area. This includes projects such as free educational programs on green living, sustainable networking events, a Green Building Resource Guide, as well as energy and food safety projects that educate the community on ways to live more sustainably.

A chapter of the Oklahoma Sustainability Network, SOKC is a grassroots organization working at the crossroads of business, environment, and social justice in Oklahoma City. SOKC promotes community sustainability by facilitating grassroots action, fostering awareness of sustainability, and serving as an informational and networking resource in the Oklahoma City area.
